Sometimes I think children’s books are really meant for adults. Maybe that’s why so many adults like reading to kids.

Too Busy for Bed! (Musing Sparks Press, 2025) by L.K. Wong and illustrated by Amy Lee is sure to capture the attention of little ones, as well as those who are not so little.

Who doesn’t know someone who has been too busy for bed? Someone whose eyelids were twitching, but suddenly has a burst of energy when the mention of bed leaves the tongue?

This book takes a youngster on a journey through a child’s fancifulness. The words and illustrations seamlessly go together.

The author, who is my brother-in-law, says the book is geared for those ages 3-7. I think that range could be expanded to younger kids.

It’s fun, whimsical, colorful and engaging—what every book in this genre should be.
