There is no such thing as gay marriage. There is only marriage.
Marriage between homosexuals and heterosexuals is the same. It’s a bond between two people who presumably love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. At its core marriage is a legally binding contract.
Gay or straight there are good times, bad times, joy, heartache, death, divorce, kids, and so much more.
I don’t understand why heterosexuals are threatened by gay people getting married. I don’t understand discrimination, so that could be the problem.
People knew before Trump was elected that the marriage of gay people could be threatened. Justice Clarence Thomas said he would be going after that right when he helped overthrow Roe v. Wade.
The hypocrisy of Thomas is astounding. Remember, his marriage was only legalized by the Supreme Court of the United States in 1967 when on a 9-0 vote it ruled interracial marriage should be allowed.
Same-sex marriage has been legal in the U.S. since 2015 when SCOTUS on a 5-4 vote made it so.
In January, the Idaho House asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn Obergefell v. Hodges. That’s the name of the 2015 gay-marriage decision. Really, Idaho? What the hell? Gay people already know your state is hateful and discriminatory. Gay marriage isn’t hurting anyone in potato land or elsewhere.
Really, people, why do we want to take away rights? Why do you want to instill laws that discriminate?
Why can’t people simply accept that love is love?
i don’t understand all the hate, and “My love is “right” your love is “wrong” attitude… it’s sick. people look for ways to elevate themselves over others, look down on others… is it because people inherently hate themselves and are just looking for ways to make themselves feel “better” “above” others? seems like it. it’s sad, it’s wrong.

I am sorry for all the hatred and discrimination . So glad you spoke out. I agree with you.
My daughter and her wife have been together for 20 year, they have a beautiful 13 year old daughter coach teams at their school and have a more healthy and happy relationship than many of my friends children do in their marriages so I think people should drop their hatred and get on board with people who actually try to make things better!
