Boise has a Balloon festival also! One year we got to ride in one. It was fantastic!
We are from Boise as well…my comment too. The morning “lifts” are so enchanting.
One of the most spectacular events with over 500 balloons aloft in the skies of Albuquerque NM is held early October annually. While Reno having around 100 balloons the ABQ event is a sight to behold like no other. Many different ways to enjoy as you did in Sonoma. Dawn Patrol, glow show morning and evenings, competition for the pilots as well…. ABQ is unique as they have a phenom called the box effect where balloons often take off and land back at the very same field they launch from. Hard to describe 500 balloons aloft at one time except awesome site to behold.
